At The Oxford IQ Academy, our brand name represents far more than a conventional metric of intelligence; it proudly stands for Ingenium Quaestio. In Latin, this phrase translates to 'the pursuit of innate talent' or 'the inquiry into genius.' We chose this as our corporate motto to fundamentally redefine what it means to be brilliant. Rather than treating education as the mere transmission of facts, we believe in awakening the intellectual curiosity that lies dormant within every student.
The Oxford IQ Academy provides an unparalleled, immersive academic experience designed specifically for teenagers with the ambition of succeeding at top-tier universities. Created by alumni of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, the Academy operates through The Oxford Exchange, an educational non-profit incorporated in the United Kingdom. Our wider mission is to raise scholarship funds to lower the cost of attendance for talented scholars, guided by a leadership team that includes Fellows of the Royal Geographical Society and former senior officials from NASA and the US Department of Defense.
We bridge the gap between historic academic rigour and modern global leadership. Unlike volume-based summer programmes, our model intentionally limits enrolment to avoid the standard approach of hiring chaperones for unruly teenagers. Instead, our programmes remain academically rigorous and small in numbers, ensuring an over-sized focus on the quality of our students. We believe true education extends well beyond the lecture hall, thriving in dining halls, historic quadrangles, inspiring surroundings, and late-night debates.
While we are privileged to utilise the magnificent residential and dining facilities of historic Oxford colleges, the Academy functions as an independent educational organisation and is not a constituent part of the University of Oxford or its colleges. This independence empowers us to offer a bespoke, undergraduate-level curriculum taught by expert Oxford IQ Academy Tutors. Students live, learn, dine, and socialise as a tight-knit cohort of external residential delegates. Beyond the rigorous coursework, scholars experience the picturesque city through day trips to London, punting on the Isis, guided tours, and a baroque-by-candlelight concert at one of our directors' colleges. We also expand this unparalleled experience to Cambridge and unique global locations such as Hawai'i.

The Oxford IQ Academy is accredited and approved by The Institute of Leadership (IoL). Every Scholar who completes the programme receives an IoL Certificate, one year of IoL membership, and a pathway to use the prestigious post-nominals AIoL after her name — a mark of recognised leadership excellence.
The Oxford IQ Academy has been shortlisted by the IoL for three prestigious awards at Leadership Live 2026, including Leadership Provider of the Year and Supporting Young Leaders. Miss Christina Ong, Athena Scholars Class of 2024 and Oxford IQ Academy's 2026 Junior Dean, was personally shortlisted for the Emerging Young Leader Award.
All of our Oxford IQ Academy faculty and staff must be DBS-certified. A DBS check is a criminal record check conducted by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for employers to help assess suitability for a role, especially those involving children or vulnerable adults.
The Oxchange Ltd and Oxford IQ Academy are proud School Members of the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). From 2026, each scholar who attends one of our summer schools is eligible for status as an RGS Member and may utilise the resources of the Society.
